Reducing friction and cognitive load before the dive
Before a dive, divers need to verify equipment, confirm readiness, and ensure their certifications are valid — often across multiple tools, screenshots, or paper records. The challenge was to design an app that supports these critical pre-dive moments without slowing users down. The experience needed to be fast, reliable, and intuitive, even in time-pressured environments like dive boats and shore entries.

Diveprep was designed around quick interactions and clear task completion. Digital checklists guide divers through essential pre-dive steps, while certification records are stored and accessible in a single, organized system. The interface prioritizes readability, touch-friendly controls, and minimal visual noise, resulting in a dependable tool that fits naturally into real dive routines — helping divers focus on the dive, not the admin.
